The Ego Women Run is a women-only, non-competitive running and walking event held in Lucca, in Tuscany. It is organised by Ego Wellness Resort together with Lucca Marathon, the Associazione Silvana Sciortino, which works on breast cancer prevention and care, and the Centro Antiviolenza Luna. Entry costs 15 euro and includes a race pack and an exclusive t-shirt, and the money raised from race numbers goes to those partner associations. There is no timing and no classification, so the day is built around solidarity, respect for women and the benefits of physical activity, and participants are free to run it as a training session or walk it at a relaxed pace.
