The EEA Athens Run 6K is staged entirely inside Pedion tou Areos, the large wooded park in central Athens, with runners gathering, starting and finishing at the Equestrian Statue of King Constantine I. The route stays on the park's paths and paved roads, with a water station at the third kilometre and medical cover on the course throughout. Entry is open to members of the Professional Chamber of Athens and their employees, gym members, club and recreational runners, secondary school students and anyone else who wants to take part. The race is run under SEGAS regulations in separate women's and men's categories, and every finisher receives a commemorative medal and diploma while the top three in each category are honoured with a cup, medal and diploma. Race packs must be collected in the days before the event at the Chamber's offices, as nothing is handed out on race morning.
