The Dziki Groń 65K is a demanding mountain run through wild and rarely visited terrain, with more than 3,000 metres of climbing. Runners set off from the historic Dietl Square in Szczawnica and follow hiking trails, former courier paths and open mountain pastures in the Little Pieniny range. The route passes Przehyba, the Poprad valley at Rytro and a stretch of the Main Beskidy Trail, with the ground changing from forest tracks to exposed grassland. The day asks for a high level of fitness, and the route is rewarded with varied landscapes and the atmosphere of the Pieniny by UTMB festival.

Other questions
The organisers recommend reviewing the registration rules and regulations before you sign up, as well as the mandatory equipment list. Reading these in advance helps you prepare properly for a demanding mountain course.
Your race pack includes a bag for your belongings. You can leave it in the main deposit area in Szczawnica just before the start. After the race, collect it from the same area using your bib number. All deposit bags must be collected by 9:00 PM on Saturday.
The race has cut-off times at Obidza, Durbaszka and the finish. Runners who do not reach a cut-off in time may be stopped by the organisers, so it is worth pacing carefully from the start, especially on the long climbs.
You can sign up for the Stay informed notifications on the event website, and follow the organisers on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube for news, photos and videos from the Pieniny by UTMB festival.
The route demands a high level of physical fitness and endurance. Build your training around long mountain runs with substantial climbing, practise hiking steep ascents with a loaded pack, and rehearse your nutrition and hydration strategy, since aid stations are spaced far apart on this course.
