De Heale Lemster is a winter running event held in the Frisian town of Lemmer in the north of the Netherlands, staged on the first Sunday of February. Entrants choose between a half marathon and a shorter 15 kilometre race known as De Lytse Heale, and both distances are run on the road in and around the town. Because the race falls in early February, the day usually brings cold and changeable coastal weather, so warm layers and a thorough warm-up are worth planning for. Final route details, start times and entry fees are published by the organiser on the event website as race day approaches.

Other questions
Distance changes are handled by the organiser rather than automatically online. Get in touch with them as early as you can if you want to move up or down a distance, as they can only make the change while places remain in the race you are moving into.
The organiser has not published a field limit for this event. Winter races in smaller towns do sometimes fill up, so entering early is the safest way to guarantee your place.
Races in the Netherlands usually go ahead in cold, wet or windy conditions, and runners are expected to dress for the weather. If conditions became genuinely unsafe the organiser would publish a decision, so check the event website and their social channels on the morning of the race.
Final instructions, including start times, number collection and route information, are sent out in the days before the race and posted on the event website. If you have not heard anything a week before race day, contact the organiser directly.
It is a small, locally organised winter race rather than a big city event, which many runners find friendly and low key. The trade-off is that early February weather in Friesland can be cold and windy, so train through the winter and be ready for whatever the day brings.
