The Damyang Forest Trail Run Daybreak 29K sends runners out at first light into the forests and mountain paths above Damyang in South Korea. The route covers roughly 29 km with about 725 m of climbing and the same again in descent, rolling through dense bamboo groves and along ridgelines that open onto wide views of the surrounding countryside. A single aid station supports the field, and an 8 hour limit gives walkers and steady runners room to enjoy the day. Runners take part solo, and the race carries ITRA points for finishers.

Damyang is served by intercity buses from Gwangju. Gwangju has an airport and the Gwangju Songjeong KTX station, both of which connect to the city bus terminals for the onward trip to Damyang.
Damyang offers guesthouses and hanok stays, while Gwangju has a wider range of hotels. With a 06:30 start, staying close to the start area makes for an easier morning.
Late October is peak autumn foliage season, with cool mornings and mild days. Because the race starts before sunrise, a warm layer for the start is worth having.
No, this race is a solo event. Each runner completes the full 29K course on their own.
Supporters are welcome. Because the course runs through forest and mountain terrain, the accessible viewing spots are the ones the organiser identifies in the pre-race information.
