The CxM Alhaurín el Grande Homenaje al Mori is a mountain race (carrera por montaña) staged in the Andalusian town of Alhaurín el Grande on Sunday 13 December 2026. Alhaurín el Grande sits in the Guadalhorce valley in the province of Málaga, between the Sierra de Mijas and the Sierra de Alhaurín, so the terrain on offer is hill and mountain trail rather than flat road. Entries and race information are handled through the Dorsalchip registration page, where the organiser publishes the course, distances and start times. The event is held as a tribute to El Mori, a nod to the local running community that gives the race its name. Runners travelling from further afield usually base themselves in Málaga, Fuengirola or Coín, all of which lie within a short drive of the town.

The race is scheduled for Sunday 13 December 2026 in Alhaurín el Grande, a town in the province of Málaga in Andalucía, southern Spain. The town lies inland from the Costa del Sol, roughly halfway between Málaga and Fuengirola.
CxM stands for carrera por montaña, the Spanish term for a mountain race. It signals that the route runs on hill and mountain trails above the town rather than on road, so expect uneven ground, climbs and descents.
December in this part of Andalucía is usually mild by day, with cool mornings and the chance of rain. Temperatures can drop in the hills early in the day, so layers that you can shed are useful, and a light waterproof is worth packing.
Alhaurín el Grande itself has small hotels and rural guesthouses, while Málaga, Fuengirola and Coín offer a wider choice within a short drive. Booking early is worthwhile because mid December is a busy period on the Costa del Sol.
