Cursa i Caminada Solidària per la Marató 3CAT - Tarragona

The event is scheduled for Sunday 13 December 2026 in Tarragona, Cataluña. Always confirm the date on the organiser's website before travelling, as solidarity events sometimes shift to fit the telethon broadcast schedule.

La Marató de 3Cat is Catalonia's annual televised fundraising campaign, with each edition dedicated to a different area of biomedical research. Local towns and clubs across Catalonia stage solidarity runs and walks in the weeks around the broadcast to add to the total.

The routes follow city streets and paved paths through Tarragona rather than trail, so ordinary road running shoes are enough. There is no indication of significant climbing, though the city centre does have some gentle changes in level.

Tarragona has hotels and apartments concentrated around the old town, the Rambla Nova and the port area, all within easy reach of central race locations. Booking early is wise because December weekends also draw visitors to the city.

Mid-December on the Catalan coast is generally mild by northern European standards but can be cool, breezy and occasionally wet. Plan for layers you can shed, and check the forecast in the days before the race.
