The Cursa de la Dona de la Jonquera is a 5 kilometre road race held in the town of La Jonquera, in the Alt Emporda area of Catalonia, close to the French border. The 2026 edition takes place on Saturday 26 December, a date that places it in the busy festive running period between Christmas and New Year. The organisers describe the course as a recorregut urba, meaning the route stays on the streets and squares of the town rather than heading into the surrounding hills. Runners can therefore expect a compact town-centre course on paved ground that suits first-timers and anyone looking for a short, sociable outing during the holidays. As the name suggests, the event follows the Catalan tradition of the cursa de la dona, a women's race.
