The Croí Galway Night Run 5K is an evening walk and run along the Salthill Promenade in Galway, held on Friday 9 October 2026. The out and back course begins at Mutton Island, follows the main coast road towards Blackrock to the turnaround at the kick wall just before Blackrock Tower, then returns along the promenade to the finish line back at Mutton Island. The whole route runs as a one way system on flat, paved seafront ground. Walkers and runners are both welcome, and the night-time setting over Galway Bay gives the event its atmosphere.

Yes. The event is described as a 5km walk or run, so walkers and runners take part together and it is a good choice for a first event or for a group of friends and family.
The night run is organised by Croí, an Irish cardiovascular charity based in Galway. Participants are encouraged to raise sponsorship as well as pay their entry, with fundraising details available on the official event website.
