Runners take on a marked loop through the woodlands of Corstorphine Hill, a pocket of forest minutes from central Edinburgh, with distances of 5K, 10K, 15K and 20K all starting at 10:00 in the morning. The route mixes forest trails, woodland paths and natural terrain, with gentle rolling climbs, flowing descents and occasional openings in the trees that frame views across the city. It is a single loop for the 5K, set up for flowing trail running rather than fast times, and the organisers describe it as suitable for first-time off-road runners as well as experienced trail racers. Race day is chip timed, with a free bag drop from 8:30am, marshals and medical support on course, free race photography, an exclusive finisher medal and post-race goodies at the finish. A water station sits at the finish area, and the 2026 edition is listed as cancelled.
