Held in North Dublin, the Clonliffe 2 Mile Road Race is a historic road race first run in 1891 and considered the oldest continuous road race in Ireland. It covers two miles of road and blends an invitational and club tradition with an open race and a concurrent fun run, so both competitive runners and casual participants share the day. Chip timing, individual prizes for senior and junior men and women and age-group masters, and a commemorative tee shirt for every entrant give the event its character. The 136th edition is scheduled for May 2027, and the Kavanagh family has long supported the race as sponsors.
