The Claws Out 5K Run/Walk is a community road event in Sylvania, Ohio, held at Northview High School on Silica Drive. Runners and walkers cover the 5K together, while the shorter Wildcat 1 Miler gives younger participants and families an easier way onto the course. Every entry helps the Northview Senior Class of 2026 fund its senior activities and a safe, substance-free after-prom. Race day starts in the morning, with the 5K races setting off at 9:10 AM and the 1 Miler following at 9:15 AM in 2025; both distances go off together at 9:10 AM for the 2026 date. The day is built around high spirits and a good cause rather than fast times, and participants are encouraged to bring friends and family along.
