Overview

The Chirk 10k offers a lovely route for all runners, taking in the amazing Chirk Castle and beautiful country lanes with stunning views. Participants receive a finisher's medal and goodies upon completion.

Road race through country lanes and castle grounds with significant hills and elevation changes

Route

The race begins on Station Road, travels around scenic country lanes, enters the stunning grounds of Chirk Castle, and returns to the start/finish on Station Road. The route is a loop with distance markers at every kilometer. The course features approximately 600ft of elevation with two significant climbs, making the first 6-7km challenging but leading to a fast final 5km.

Before you enter

Minimum ageParticipants must be aged 15 and over to take part in the Chirk 10k.

DogsNo, dogs and buggies are not permitted on the course.

HeadphonesBone conduction headphones are permitted. In-ear headphones are not permitted for safety reasons.

Time limitThe cut-off time is 1 hour and 30 minutes, meaning you must cross the finish line by 10:30 AM. Runners falling behind this pace may be asked to withdraw for safety reasons.

Collecting your numberIf you live in the UK and entered more than 4 weeks before the race, your race pack will be posted to you one week before the race. For those living outside the UK or entering later, race packs will be available for collection on race morning.
