Terrain
Runners take to Battlefield Blvd for a one-mile dash that sets off just ahead of the Chesapeake Rotary Christmas Parade, with holiday lights along the street and thousands of neighbors out to cheer. The evening is built around fun rather than fast times, and festive dress is the order of the day, from pajamas and ugly Christmas sweaters to strings of twinkling lights. Families are a big part of the crowd, and a single entry covers two adults and up to six children. T-shirts are available for an extra cost.
