The CFP Trophy Trot is the official road race of the College Football Playoff, sending runners along the streets of Las Vegas with a choice of one mile, 5K or 10K. The 10K sets off first at 8:00 AM, followed by the 5K at 8:05 AM and the one-mile race at 8:15 AM. The ground underfoot is paved city road throughout the Strip area, and the full course map is due to be published closer to race day. Every runner collects a t-shirt and a finisher's medal, and there are multiple chances during the weekend to win tickets to the CFP National Championship at Allegiant Stadium on Monday, January 25, 2027. The event also recognises teachers in support of the CFP Foundation's Extra Yard for Teachers initiative.
