Cavatrail 2.0 Trail Provinciaal Domein Het Leen Eeklo

Cavatrail 2.0 is organised by the Cavalopers club and takes place in the Provinciaal Domein Het Leen, a beautifully kept provincial forest domain in Eeklo, Belgium. Runners choose between 5, 10, 20 and 30 km on a course that runs roughly 95 per cent off-road on forest paths and trails. It is a winter event, so cold and mud are part of the day and the organisers note that white socks are not a good idea, while trail shoes can be worn but are not compulsory. Everyone who hands in their bib at the finish receives a quality bottle of Perelada cava, there is an extra healthy snack bag at the finish line, and a warm cafeteria welcomes runners, partners and children. A surprise Strava segment on the route rewards the fastest man and woman with a free entry for 2027.
