The Castel Trail takes place on Saturday 14 November 2026 in Castelnau-de-Montmiral, a hilltop bastide village in the Tarn department of Occitanie, southwest France. The programme centres on an 8 kilometre trail that leaves the village and follows paths, farm tracks and country lanes through the surrounding vineyards, copses and open farmland. The same day also offers an 8 kilometre randonnée, a marked walk over similar ground for those who prefer to take the route at a gentler pace. Both distances share the same start and finish in the village, so runners and walkers set off into the autumn landscape together before returning to the square.
