Carrera Solidaria Memorial Javier Pozo Pozo - 8 km

The race is scheduled for Sunday 15 November 2026. The date is confirmed on the calendar listing, but it is always worth checking the organiser's own page in the days before the event in case anything changes.

The word solidaria in the race name means it is a charity or solidarity event, and it is held as a memorial to Javier Pozo Pozo. The specific cause supported and how the proceeds are distributed are described on the organiser's own page.

Late or on-the-day entry has not been confirmed. Many small Spanish town races accept registrations at the race office on the morning of the event, but you should contact the organiser in advance to be sure.

November in inland Andalusia is usually mild and dry, with race-morning temperatures commonly in the low teens and daytime highs around 18 to 20 degrees Celsius. Rain is possible but not typical, and the low sun angle makes for comfortable running conditions.

The route details have not been published yet. An 8 km town race in a place the size of Gilena is normally fully marked and marshalled, and it is usually easy to follow the runners ahead of you.
