The XV Carrera por Montaña Sierra de Chiva is a mountain trail race held in Chiva, in the province of Valencia, Spain, on Sunday 6 December 2026. Runners choose between three routes of 61 km, 35 km and 14 km, all run over the trails and hill paths of the Sierra de Chiva, so the day mixes long mountain effort with shorter, more accessible outings. The race is organised by Club Atletismo Marjana Chiva with support from the Ayuntamiento de Chiva and the Concejalías de Deportes y Medio Ambiente. Entries are handled through the Mychip platform, opening on 18 September 2026 and closing on 2 December 2026, with two price periods per distance. The 14 km route is the shortest option and suits runners stepping into trail racing, while the 35 km and especially the 61 km demand solid endurance and comfort on technical mountain ground. Training on hilly trails before race day will make the day far more enjoyable.
This is a mountain trail event in the Sierra de Chiva, so expect a mix of paths, tracks and steeper mountain sections rather than flat road. Trail shoes with good grip are the sensible choice.
