The race follows the Camí de Cavalls, an ancient 185 km path that circles the whole coastline of Menorca, with options from an 11 km starter route up to the full loop. Underfoot the ground shifts constantly between coastal trail, pine forest singletrack, rocky outcrops, red and golden sand and occasional stretches of asphalt. The longest events set off in the dark and run through the night under one of the Mediterranean's least light-polluted skies, while the shorter races start later in the day. The weekend is based around Ciutadella de Menorca and closes with local food, drink stations along the way and the island's own hospitality.

Other questions
Distance changes are handled by the organiser and depend on places remaining in the race you want to move into. Contact the race team as early as you can rather than waiting until race weekend.
Spanish federation rules mean runners either hold a valid athletics or mountain running licence or take out day insurance with their entry. The licence covers accident insurance during the event, and the organiser confirms the exact cover in the race regulations.
Drink stations and nutrition stations are placed along each route, with solid food and sports nutrition at the longer-distance aid points. A post-race meal is included in the entry, which matters after a night on the coast.
Menorca is served by Menorca Airport near Maó, with flights from mainland Spain and several European cities, and by ferries from Barcelona, Valencia and Alcúdia. Ciutadella sits on the west of the island roughly 45 minutes by road from the airport, and hire cars or the island bus network cover the rest.
The full loop covers about 3,527 m of climbing across coastal trail, rocky ground, sand and short asphalt stretches. It mixes technical sections with genuinely runnable kilometres, which is what makes it a good first step up to the very long distances.
