Boston Half Marathon - Half Marathon (21.1km)

The race is set up by the Boston Athletic Association, the same organisation that stages the Boston Marathon, so it carries the experience and standards of one of the world's best known road racing clubs.

The course is a single out and back route through Franklin Park. Runners leave White Stadium, follow the park, and return along the same corridors to finish back at the stadium.

It is a road race. The whole route stays within Franklin Park rather than heading out onto trails or open countryside.

Because the course is an out and back inside the park, spectators can often see runners more than once by standing at points along the park roads. The area around White Stadium is the natural gathering spot for the finish.
