Bootstrap Boogie is a fall trail race on the Fundy Coast inside the Irving Nature Park, a 600 acre protected site created and maintained by J.D. Irving Limited just minutes from Saint John. Runners start and finish at the Sheldon Point Trail parking lot, working through singletrack, a gravel pit, open beach, dirt road and a grass field, while the longer race adds the park's 300m marsh boardwalk and the Frog Trail on a clockwise Coastal Loop. Two distances go off on the same day, 9km and 17km, sharing one aid station in the nature park parking lot that the 17km field passes at about 4.5km and again at about 12.5km. Cash prizes go to the top three men and women, and the park itself brings tidal pools, salt marsh, bog, Acadian forest and mudflats to the backdrop.
