Other questions
Registration takes place on Saturday morning before the race. Specific times will be in the Final Instructions, available on the website and via email 10 days prior. Registration is usually located in Llanberis, on the field next to the Community Centre (LL55 4UR).
The challenge is to complete as many laps as possible within 24 hours. A lap is both the ascent and descent of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon). If a runner begins a lap but does not complete it within 24 hours, it will NOT count. In case of a tie, the quickest wins. You will not be allowed to start a final lap after 10:00; we recommend no one leaves for a last lap after 08:30.
There is a communal chill-out zone for solo participants in the Event Village, and a respite area 500m away for all participants. Solo competitors can pitch a shelter (max 1.5m x 2.5m), pairs one shelter (max 1.5m x 2.5m), teams up to two shelters (max 3m x 3.5m). No caravans or camper vans. The respite area is a silent zone at all times, with no music or noise between 9pm and 8am. No campfires or cooking stoves allowed.
The route is based in Llanberis village and takes you up and down the Llanberis Path, a 15km out and back route passing Half Way House, Allt Moses, Clogwyn Bridge, and the summit of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) before returning to the event village.
Yes, the event is UTMB Indexed, making it a great qualifying or preparation race for UTMB Mont Blanc. The individual challenges include 50k, 100k, and 100-mile UTMB indexed challenges.
