The courses follow scenic park paths through Sutton Park, the 2,400-acre National Nature Reserve on the edge of Sutton Coldfield, one of the Midlands' most loved green spaces and a former home of the National Road Relays. Runners can choose between a half marathon, a 10K, a 5K and a junior race, each with its own start time on the morning, and every kilometre is marked with distance flags. Friendly marshals guide the field round the course and cheer everyone to a chequered flag finish. The day has a community feel, with a well-serviced event village offering food and drink options and free goodies from partners after the finish, and the festival raises support for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, which provides helicopter-led pre-hospital care.
