The Winter Warmer Run takes place in Sutton Park at Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, on a mixed surface that is mostly path with a small road crossing and a bridge crossing looked after by the event team. Runners choose between a half marathon, a 10K and a 5K, all starting and finishing on Park Road in the Royal Town of Sutton Coldfield. The morning begins with the half marathon at 9.00am and the shorter distances at 10.00am, with race packs collected at registration from 8.00am. Chip timing, a finisher medal, drink and nutrition stations, medical cover, bag drop and toilets are all part of the day, and the event raises awareness and funds for the charity Shelter.
