Beyond Newcastle 25K Trail takes runners from the iconic Swing Bridge on Newcastle Quayside into the city's hidden riverside and woodland paths. The loop course follows the River Tyne and Derwent Valley on a mix of paved towpaths, woodland trails and disused railway lines, with just 142 metres of ascent over the 26-kilometre distance. The route is fully signed with confidence markers, marshalled at every turn and supported by a feed station at mile 8, making it a welcoming introduction to trail running.
