Check-in details are not specified, but for a night trail event, expect to collect your bib and any rental gear (if offered) at the start area at Gunnebo Slott & Trädgårdar. Arrive early to allow time for parking and preparation. The start/finish area is at the castle grounds, but parking there is not allowed; use the designated lots below the castle. After the run, there is an after-run gathering at the castle grounds.
A headlamp with fresh batteries and sufficient brightness is essential, as the course is in total darkness and marked with reflectors. Wear trail running shoes with good grip for roots and rocks. Dress for cold December weather in Sweden: moisture-wicking layers, a waterproof jacket, gloves, hat, and perhaps a buff. Consider carrying a phone, emergency blanket, and spare batteries. Reflective clothing is also a good idea for visibility.
You finish straight into an after-run at the castle grounds. Expect a festive atmosphere, possibly food and drinks (check event details). Since it's December, there may be warm facilities. The after-run is a chance to socialize with other runners. Remember that parking is not allowed at the castle, so plan your exit accordingly.
