The race starts atop Selworthy Beacon, where runners are greeted with panoramic views across the Bristol Channel and Exmoor National Park before dropping down through technical trails, woodland paths and sweeping descents. The multi-terrain route covers roughly 10km from moor to sea and finishes with a sprint across the sand of Minehead Beach. Entries are available either as an individual place or as a youth relay team of two to five runners, and finisher medals are an optional paid add-on rather than being included in the entry fee.

What you get
Finisher medals are available as a paid add-on: £7 per adult individual, £4 per youth relay team member (all team members must purchase if the team wants medals)
Option to complete the event without a medal to reduce waste and keep entry prices the same as the previous year

Yes. Alongside the individual entry there is a Youth Relay Team option for teams of 2 to 5 members, priced at £26.74 per team.
Yes. During the entry process you can opt in to receive information about doing the event for a charity such as Alzheimer's Society, Cancer Research UK, Mind, Shelter or WWF, and your contact details will be shared with that charity.
Yes. Channel Events relies on its Volunteer Tribe to deliver its races and is always looking for more volunteers. Volunteers are looked after with social events, merchandise, and breakfast and drinks on event days.
Channel Events is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC) that organises engaging, accessible outdoor lifestyle events, headed up by Dan Brice, with surpluses reinvested in the business or community.
Yes. Channel Events also organises Mendip Aurora (20 March 2027, North Somerset), The Mendip Murmuration (12 June 2027, Bridgwater, Somerset) and The Exmoor Running and Walking Festival (26-27 June 2027, Simonsbath, Somerset).
