The route is 100% tarmac and almost entirely flat, offering a road race experience through green countryside and historic railway heritage. Distances range from a 2km fun run to a 50km ultra, with the 25km finishing at Bristol Temple Meads and the other distances running out and back. Along the way, participants pass the Avon Valley Railway, restored signal boxes, and the 450m Staple Hill Tunnel.
