The full marathon distance, completed by running two laps of the scenic 21.1km course designed by Steve Moneghetti. The course takes in autumn colours, beautiful scenery and historic buildings, and is run on Sunday morning.

Terrain

Predominantly sealed road and paved paths, repeated over two laps of the half marathon course around Lake Wendouree and Victoria Park.

Route

Two laps of the Steve Moneghetti-designed 21.1km course, starting and finishing at Ballarat Town Hall, passing Victoria Park, the Arch of Victory, Lake Wendouree and the historic Lydiard and Sturt Streets.

Expo

Friday 16 April 2027, 09:00 to 19:00, and Saturday 17 April 2027, 09:00 to 20:00, at Selkirk Stadium, 989 Norman St, Wendouree VIC 3355, Australia. Race bibs are collected here. There is no bib collection on Sunday.

Race Day

Saturday 17 April hosts the 10km at 12:30, the 5km at 15:15 and the Community Mile at 17:00. Sunday 18 April hosts the half marathon and marathon, both starting at 08:00.

Before you enter

RefundsAll tickets are non-refundable, and race bibs cannot be transferred to another runner. If you become pregnant in the lead-up to the 2027 Ballarat Marathon and can no longer race, the event will offer a deferral for up to 3 years.

TransfersRace bibs cannot be transferred to another runner. Changing distance is subject to availability, and the entrant must pay the difference in entry fees. No refund is given for any difference, regardless of when the downgrade is made.

DeferralsIf a runner becomes pregnant in the lead-up to the 2027 Ballarat Marathon and can no longer race, a deferral of up to 3 years is offered.

If the race is cancelledAll tickets are non-refundable.

Collecting your numberBibs can be collected at Selkirk Stadium, 989 Norman St, Wendouree VIC 3355, Australia. The collection hours are 09:00 to 19:00 on Friday 16 April 2027 and 09:00 to 20:00 on Saturday 17 April 2027. There is no race bib collection on Sunday.
