The Backyard de Saint-Quentin is a backyard ultra staged in the Île de Loisirs de Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines park in Trappes, west of Paris. Runners cover a 7 kilometre loop, and as with any backyard format the field sets off together at the top of each hour, with those who fail to complete the loop inside the hour dropping out until a single runner remains. The ground is parkland path and track rather than open mountain trail, and the event runs through the evening and into the night for whoever is still standing. Because the format can run for many hours, athletes should plan their own support, food and clothing around the loop. Confirm the timetable and entry conditions on the organiser's website before travelling.

Other questions
In a backyard ultra everyone starts a fixed loop together at the top of every hour. You have exactly one hour to complete the loop and be back at the start line for the next bell. Runners who are not back in time, or who do not start the next loop, are out, and the race continues until only one runner is left.
The 2027 edition is scheduled for Friday 2 April 2027. Backyard events usually start in the morning and can run through the night, so keep the following day free if you intend to go deep into the race.
Most backyard events allow a crew to set up beside the start and finish area, which is where the loop begins and ends each hour. Check the organiser's rules on crew, tents and equipment in the start area.
A backyard ultra continues for as long as at least two runners keep completing the loop, so the later stages are often run in darkness. Bring lighting and warm clothing for the night hours.
You are withdrawn from the race. That is the nature of the format: there is no partial credit, and the result is recorded as the number of loops and hours you completed.
