Since 2015, the Aymon Trail has grown into one of the most sought-after trail running weekends in the region, drawing more than 1800 runners from Belgium, northern France and the Grand Est. The courses wind between the Meuse and Semoy valleys on technical forest paths with demanding climbs, and most of the ground is trail. The weekend opens on Saturday with a 12 km night race, an animated costumed night hike and the Kids races, including the solidarity duo and Joëlette event run with Handi-Sport Grand-Est and the gendarmerie. On Sunday the marathon, 33 km and 18 km start in turn, with all of them counting toward the UTMB Index, and the marathon and 33 km also count toward the FFA national trail challenge. Non-licensed runners need to complete the FFA health pathway (PPS) and enter its number when they register.
