The Autumn Run in Cologne, known locally as the Herbstlauf Köln, is staged in the Leidenhausen recreation area to the south east of the city on a Saturday in mid October. It is organised by LSV Porz and has been a fixture of the local race calendar for many years, drawing a field of between 100 and 999 participants. Four options are offered: a half marathon, a 10k, a 5k and a 5k Nordic walking category, which start through the morning and into midday. The event is officially registered with the German Athletics Association, so the courses are accurately measured and results are eligible for official rankings. The trees of the recreation area are at their autumn best around race day, giving the whole morning a colourful backdrop.

The race is organised by LSV Porz, the athletics club based in Cologne's Porz district, and it has been run for many years as the club's autumn event.

All four races take place inside the Leidenhausen recreation area, a green space south east of Cologne. It mixes open park paths with wooded sections, and the listing does not break the surface down distance by distance.
Yes, alongside the running races there is a 5k Nordic walking option, which starts at 11:00 before the runners set off.
The recreation area is open parkland, so spectators can move between the start and finish area and along the paths to cheer runners on without needing a ticket.
