Other questions
No. Festive fancy dress is encouraged and adds to the atmosphere, but ordinary running kit is perfectly acceptable. Whatever you wear, remember that a December morning in Staffordshire is likely to be cold.
The race has raised more than £10,000 for local charities over its first six years. The charity chosen for 2026 will be announced closer to race day, so check the organiser's page if you would like to know where the money is going or add your own fundraising.
The race is organised by Audley Striders running club in partnership with the Rotary Club of Audley and a group of event sponsors. It is now in its seventh year.
The published entry route is online, and entries close on 9 December 2026. If you want to run, it is safest to enter in advance, and to check the organiser's EntryHub page shortly before the race for any last minute arrangements.
Runners gather at Audley Cricket Club on the morning of Sunday 13 December 2026 for a festive five kilometre run around the village. The club setting gives a relaxed base for the event, and the full timetable, including start time, is published by the organiser on the EntryHub page as race day approaches.
