Runners head out on rolling dirt trails through Lake Bastrop North Shore and South Shore Parks, where single-track and wider paths wind between towering pines and open lakeside stretches. Autumn colours transform the landscape and the calm water gives the day its backdrop. Distances span 5K, 10K, half marathon and marathon, alongside a 12-hour endurance challenge that carries runners into the dark hours with reflective markers and glow sticks lighting the way. Packet pickup runs from 7:30am to 8:30am on race morning, with the marathon, half marathon and 12-hour events starting at 9:00am. Aid stations are fully stocked throughout, and every finisher receives a custom challenge coin.

Packet pickup takes place on race morning from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM at Lake Bastrop North Shore Park, 603 State Hwy 95 N, Bastrop, TX 78602. There is no separate pre-race pickup listed, so plan to collect your number before your start.
Yes. Anyone running through the dark hours must carry a headlamp with fresh batteries, and a backup light source is recommended. Reflective clothing or a vest, a personal hydration system and a charged cell phone are also strongly encouraged for night running.
The event may be moved to a later start time, postponed to the following weekend, or switched to a virtual option. Organisers make that call 24 hours before the scheduled start.
Every finisher receives a custom challenge coin, and runners who take on more than one event in the series are recognised with additional series awards.
The terrain is rolling with moderate elevation changes and a mix of single-track and wider trail, so it suits both seasoned trail runners and those stepping up to longer distances. The 5K and 10K are the gentlest way in.
