Artemisio Mountain Running returns for its ninth edition on Sunday 6 December 2026, with every race starting and finishing in the central square of Karyá in the Argolis region of Greece. The headline 26K mountain running route climbs 1,600 m of positive elevation and turns technical on the summit section, where the mountain is exposed to sudden weather changes and the field is limited to well trained runners with mountain race experience. A 12K trail loop with 900 m of climbing is pitched as an ideal introduction to off-road terrain, the 5K tours the countryside around the village on a short but still demanding circuit, and a 1.5 km kids' run stays within the settlement. The day is organised by the Karyotes cultural association To Artemisio and the 2026 edition is dedicated to the association's 50th anniversary. The event also supports the upkeep and promotion of the local footpaths and raises awareness of the rare natural environment of Karyá and Mount Artemisio.
