The Arc 100K runs point to point from Land's End to Perranporth Airfield, following the South West Coast Path along Cornwall's Atlantic coast for around 80 kilometres. The ground is rugged coastal trail, with relentless climbs over cliffs and headlands that add up to 2,708 metres of elevation gain. The route is waymarked in parts but demands real self-sufficiency, since aid stations sit roughly 20 miles apart and no support crew is permitted anywhere on the course. Runners set off at 10:00 with 16 hours to finish, so much of the second half is covered in darkness and in whatever winter weather Cornwall offers. A 30 litre UTMB World Series drop bag travels to the Lelant aid station, and aid stations provide hot food, hot drinks, cold drinks, water, cola and Näak Energy products alongside warm shelter and toilets.

Other questions
The race is shown as full on the event page. Entries are handled through the UTMB registration platform, where you can check whether a place becomes available again.
No. The Arc of Attrition is a semi-autonomous, self-sufficient event and no personal assistance or support crew is allowed at any point along the route or during the race. Only participants may access aid stations. Because of the length of the course and the winter timing, the organisers do strongly advise having someone meet you at the finish who can drive you home.
The 30 litre UTMB World Series drop bag is carried to the Lelant aid station. After you finish, collect it at the main event venue by showing your race bib. Only official UTMB World Series drop bags are accepted.
The organisers recommend this race only for runners with previous ultra distance experience. The cliff path is undulating and the terrain can be difficult, steep and arduous in places, and depending on your pace the later part of the race is run in the dark. Some prior night running experience is strongly advised.
The race takes place in January in Cornwall, and the organisers describe the conditions as potentially challenging winter weather. Much of the second half of the route is likely to be run in darkness, so warm layers, a reliable head torch and the confidence to look after yourself between aid stations matter a great deal.
