Other questions
Every loop starts and finishes at the central HQ in Church Stretton. You choose how many of the four loops to take on and in what order, and you may run them in either direction. The combinations give totals from 10 miles up to 50 miles.
Yes. Participants may run or walk the loops, and there is a 16 hour time limit for anyone completing all four.
The entry fee covers RFID timing with RaceResult, medical care, the hot and cold food and drink buffet at HQ across the 16 hours, awards for first to third, and the option to hire a GPS tracker. An optional medal made of five pieces that combine when all four loops are completed can be added for £7.
The Famine Loop has no food or water stops, so you need to be self-sufficient for those 15.45 miles. Between loops, runners return to HQ where hot and cold food and drink are available throughout the event.
Conquest climbs 710 m, War 673 m, Death 753 m and Famine 751 m. Completing all four gives a total climb and descent of more than 10,000 ft.
