The Ameal Trail takes runners along trails through the countryside around Coimbra, weaving through wooded sections and past small villages. Three distances are on offer, a 17 km and a 12 km timed trail race plus a 10 km trail walk, so the day welcomes both first timers and experienced trail runners. The ground underfoot is natural trail rather than road, and the event is built around fitness, nature and the community spirit of the Coimbra region.

You can get a full refund within 24 hours of registering if you change your mind. After that window, the published cancellation scale applies, with 50 percent refundable up to 2 February 2027 and 25 percent up to 16 February 2027.
Both the start and the finish are in Coimbra, Portugal. Registration and bib collection take place on the futsal field beside the starting area.
