Other questions
The distances climb steadily: the Oitzinger 12 has 268 m of elevation gain, the Lussari 24 has 1,203 m, the Jôf Trail 31 has 2,690 m and the Montasio 55 has 3,892 m. The terrain is alpine, with meadows, forest tracks and rougher mountain ground, so the shorter races are still proper hill days out.
The 12 km Oitzinger is the most accessible option with 268 m of climbing, and the 24 km Lussari is a good step up for runners with hill experience. The 31 km, 55 km and 115.7 km races call for real mountain experience and a medical certificate.
Entries are not transferable between runners. Instead, the base entry fee can be moved free of charge to another ASD SentieroUNO event or to next year's edition of Alpe Adria Ultra Trail Summer, provided you ask at least 30 days before race day.
Yes. The Kile Alpine Resort at Valbruna is the finish area for the weekend and has toilets, showers and dressing rooms. Once runners are out on the mountain, the finish line is the easiest place for supporters to settle in and wait.
Mid June in this part of Friuli-Venezia Giulia usually brings warm days and cool mountain air, but alpine weather can turn quickly, with rain, wind and low cloud possible at altitude. Come prepared for changing conditions and check the forecast shortly before race day.
