The Aigaleo Memory Run takes place on Sunday 25 October 2026 through the streets of Aigaleo in western Athens, held in memory of the 95 Aigaleo residents who died in the Holocaust of 29 September 1944. The 9.3 km race sets off at 09:00 from the corner of Nikolaou Plastira and Smyrnis, works its way along Iera Odos, dips into the Alsos Baroutadiko grove and then returns through the town grid to the finish on the same corner. A 1.1 km race for children up to 15 years starts at 08:30 over a shorter loop of the town centre, and parents are welcome to run it alongside their children. Entry is free for everyone, registration is online only and closes on Friday 16 October 2026, and there is no sign-up on the day. The event is organised jointly by the Municipality of Aigaleo and local sports and cultural clubs, with awards for the leading runners in each age group and a cup for the school that turns out the most participants.

The 9.3 km route runs on asphalt through the streets of Aigaleo, follows Iera Odos, passes through the Alsos Baroutadiko grove and returns through the town centre to the finish. Both the start and the finish sit at the Nikolaou Plastira and Smyrnis junction, so the course is effectively a loop.
The race is co-organised by the Municipality of Aigaleo together with local sports and cultural clubs, and it is dedicated to the memory of the 95 Aigaleo residents lost in the Holocaust of 29 September 1944.
The meeting point for both races is the junction of Nikolaou Plastira and Smyrnis in Aigaleo, which also serves as the finish line.
