The Municipality of Aigaleo stages this memorial road race on Sunday 25 October 2026 together with local sports and cultural clubs, honouring the 95 residents of Aigaleo who died in the Holocaust of 29 September 1944. Two events run on the city's streets: a 9,300 metre big loop that starts and finishes at the corner of Nikolaou Plastira and Smyrnis and threads through the Alsos Baroutadiko grove, and a 1,100 metre small loop for children up to 15 years old, where parents are welcome to run alongside. The course is on asphalt with the one wooded park section, it is chip timed for both distances, and entry is free for all comers with a limited field. Trophies and medals go to the top three in each age category, every finisher receives a commemorative medal, and the school with the most entries takes home a cup.
