Other questions
The next edition is scheduled for Sunday 16 May 2027 on Adelsö, in the Stockholm region of Sweden. Always confirm the date on the organiser's own website before making travel plans.
Adelsö lies in Lake Mälaren and is reached by road from Ekerö over the Adelsö bridge, roughly an hour by car from central Stockholm. Public buses also serve the island from the Stockholm area, so check the current timetable with the local transport operator and allow extra time on race morning.
No mandatory kit list is published on this page. For an island ultra in May, most runners carry water, some food, a phone in a waterproof pouch and a light layer in case the weather turns. The organiser will confirm any compulsory items before race day.
The 43 kilometre distance sits just beyond a marathon, which makes it a reasonable step up for runners who have completed road or trail marathons. Train on mixed surfaces and practise eating and drinking on the move, then decide whether the terrain and time limit suit you.
Spectators are welcome on the island, and the finish area is usually the best place to wait. Adelsö is small, so moving between points on the course by car takes time. Suggest that supporters stay in one spot and enjoy the island rather than trying to follow the whole route.
