Abbathon 10K - Brighton

The Abbathon is a themed running event held at Preston Park in Brighton. This event combines a running race with elements of an ABBA tribute show. Participants have the option to complete one of two distances: 5 km or 10 km. The event is open to all fitness levels, allowing participants to run, jog, or walk the course. A live ABBA tribute act performs for 45 minutes before the start of the race to lead a warm-up session. During the run, music guides carry speakers along the route to play themed music. All participants receive a race bib with chip timing to track their official pace and finishing time. The course is set within the grounds of Preston Park. Organizers provide water and post-race refreshments, including fresh fruit, at the finish line. Professional photographers are present on the course, and images are made available digitally after the event. Every finisher receives a themed medal. Participants have the option to wear ABBA-inspired clothing or retro costumes. The venue is accessible via Preston Park station, local bus routes (including the 5 and 5A), or by bike. Limited parking is available on-site via London Road. The event is family-friendly. Children may participate if accompanied by an adult, with a maximum ratio of two children per one supervising adult. While pets are not permitted to run, they are allowed in the spectator areas.
