The Okinawa 100K Ultra Marathon starts in Yonabaru Town in the southern part of Okinawa's main island and follows the coast on an out-and-back route that turns at Itoman City Hall. Runners pass Hyakuna Beach and look out over Oujima island, and the Nirai and Kanai bridges near the end of the course are the biggest landmarks. The whole course uses pavements and road shoulders, with 14 hours allowed for the 100 km, nine hours for the 50 km and seven hours for the 22.5 km Nirai Kanai Run & Walk. Entry closes as soon as a distance fills, and a paid shuttle bus links three Naha monorail stations with the start venue.
