The 7th Gyra Mani is an 80.5 km ultramarathon that makes one complete circuit of the middle leg of the Peloponnese, the historic and proud Mani peninsula. Runners set off from and return to Areopoli, the old capital of Mani, passing by the region's famous tower houses along the way. The race starts at 09:00 and closes at 21:00, giving a 12 hour limit to complete the circuit. The 2027 edition forms part of the event's ten anniversary years from 2017 to 2027 and is dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Diros and to the Maniatissa Mother. Entry and full race information are handled through the organisers' own website.

The race is organised by the Hellenic Long Distance Running Association "The Immortals" (Ελληνικός Σύνδεσμος Αγώνων Μεγάλων Αποστάσεων «Οι Αθάνατοι»), with the support of the Municipality of East Mani.
