The 10km race starts on the prefectural road in front of the Sasebo City General Ground athletics stadium and finishes inside the stadium. Because public roads are used, a 70-minute time limit applies and runners who fall behind it must move onto the pavement. Automatic timing is used and the top six in each category receive awards.
