7 Hours of Slivnica is a seven-hour mountain running event on the slopes of Slivnica above Cerknica, where runners repeat a 3.5 km ascent from the parking area below the hill to the summit. The route climbs roughly 500 metres on forest paths that mix steeper sections with a flatter slope near the top, and the aim is to complete as many ascents and descents as possible before the clock stops at 15:00. Bib collection runs from 7:00 to 7:45, organisers carry backpacks and clothing up to the Planinski dom Slivnica hut at the summit, and a meal waits at the top while snacks are laid on at the base. Cars park free right at the start and finish area.

The path from the parking area to the summit of Slivnica is 3.5 km long with around 500 metres of climbing. There are several uphill sections and a short flatter slope, which makes it suitable for beginners as well as for more experienced runners.
There is no fixed number. The prize for the most ascents goes to the participant who completes the greatest number of ascents and descents within the seven hours.
Yes. The route is laid out to suit beginners as well as hardened runners. Sports enthusiasts, families, hikers and anyone looking to relax in nature are welcome.
Yes. Backpacks, personal items and clothing are transported up to the Planinski dom Slivnica hut on the summit. Items are accepted until around 13:00.
