Both divisions run the same certified half marathon course. The Elite Division requires a qualifying record and has a tighter time limit of 1 hour 15 minutes, while the General Division is open to all eligible runners with a limit of 2 hours 20 minutes.
You need a recorded performance of 1 hour 17 minutes or faster for the half marathon, 35 minutes or faster for 10km or 10,000m, or 2 hours 41 minutes or faster for the full marathon. The record must have been set between 1 January 2024 and the time you enter, and you will be asked for it during the entry process.
All distances are open to men and women of high school age and above, including JAAF registered athletes (university men, and high school age and above for men and women) and unregistered runners in the under 39, 40s, 50s and 60 and over categories. Wheelchairs are not permitted. Visually impaired runners may take part with a guide runner, who enters free of charge.
The participation award is an original towel, number card fasteners, a Nisshin OilliO Group product (planned) and access to PICSOON, an AI face-recognition photo download service. Drinks are provided to participants, baggage can be stored (excluding valuables), there is an on-site shop and a record certificate is issued. Live results are displayed for the top 20 finishers.
