Overview

The World Airline Road Race returns to Fort Worth for its 43rd edition, bringing aviation industry runners and athletes from around the globe to a road course set around 100 Fort Worth Trail in the heart of the Texas city. Entrants can choose the 5K or the 10K, and a combined 5K and 10K entry is also listed, so runners of every level can pick the distance that suits them. The ground underfoot is road throughout, and the day is built as much around camaraderie and the finish line celebration as it is around fast running. Start times for both distances are still listed as to be confirmed, with the race set for Sunday 4 October 2026.

ResultsResults are normally published by the organiser shortly after the event, with the 5K and 10K listed separately. Details of where to find them are usually shared on the event page and by email after race day.

On the day

ParkingParking in the surface lot will be limited to vendors and volunteers arriving early. Participants and spectators will be directed to park in the parking garage; volunteers arriving later will be directed to either the parking garage or the surface lot. Please allow extra time if arriving at 8:00AM or later as there will be road closures during the race (no road closures until 8:00AM on October 4; between 8:00AM and 11:30AM expect some road closures, but you can still enter the City Hall property). The race venue is most easily accessed via W 5th Street. Police will be onsite to assist with directing to the available parking areas.

ShuttleRunners or walkers who do not reach the cut-off location by the communicated time will be advanced forward on the course, or shuttled to the finish line area.

Before you enter

RefundsEntry fees for the WARR events are non-refundable.

TransfersRegistrations may be transferred within the same race year to a different race distance by using the online registration system for a small fee. Race bibs are not transferrable from one participant to another participant without updating the new details in the WARR registration system – use the "TRANSFER" button on the main registration page (Race Roster). Transfers can be made to a new sub-event or to a new participant. Changes must be completed online by October 1, 2026. If you are registered in the 5k or 10K and wish to switch, make the change online prior to registration; if you are not registered in the category you run, you will not qualify for the awards.

Collecting your numberCollection details are usually confirmed by the organiser in the weeks before race day and tend to be published alongside the final start times. Once your entry is confirmed, keep an eye on organiser emails for the collection window and location.
